Falko Löffler was born 1974 in Lauterbach/Hesse. He has studied German and English literature and media science in Marburg. He started his professional career in the games business in 1996. After graduating he worked for a video game developer in Frankfurt as a writer and level designer. In 2003 he became a freelance writer and has worked on numerous projects as a creative writer, translator or reviewer.
He has published four novels: three fantasy novels and one crime story for young readers. Currently he's working on a thriller about the Afghanistan conflict and the final instalment of his "Drachenwächter" fantasy trilogy. The first part of this series has been adapted as a hidden object game.
Löffler lives in the Vogelsberg, a rural area north of Frankfurt.
